Description: Image of graves of soldiers from the 44th Massachusetts Regiment. The names of J.H. Davis and W.T. Atwood can be seen on the two closest tombstones. J.H. Davis is John H. Davis (Private, Co. C, 23rd Massachusetts), who died 6 Nov 1864 during the Yellow Fever Epidemic. W.T. Atwood is William T. Atwood (apparently Co. E, 23rd Massachusetts), who died 22 July 1862.
