Library Services Update

At this time, the New Bern-Craven County Public Library is open with limited services. The library allows in-person visits to the library during designated hours by appointment.
Walk-in visits are permitted when space is available. Visitors are required to wear face coverings when inside the library.
Curbside Service is available during scheduled times for check-out of materials on hold. Please see our Service Schedule for times.

Available In-Person Services by Appointment:
• Browse & Check-out Materials – 30 minutes
• Kellenberger Room Research – up to 2 hours
• Computer Use – up to 2 one-hour (computers shut down 15 minutes before the library closes)
• Student Study Zone - up to 2 hours
• Wi-Fi Tables - up to 2 one-hour sessions per day

**Appointments on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. are reserved for high-risk individuals or family units. Please call the library at 252-638-7803 to make your appointment.

Other Services available during In-Person Visits, no appointment necessary:
• Picking up items On Hold
• Faxing, Scanning, Copying
• Notary Service (we recommend calling ahead to ensure a notary is on duty)
• Get a Library Card / Update Account

Due to occupancy restrictions and social distancing requirements, individuals without an appointment may be required to wait upon arriving at the library until space is available. Per mandate, individuals should circulate within the space. Seating is not currently available, except for computer use.
