Spark a Reaction

The Young Adult Summer Reading Program begins June 23, 2014.

Registration packets will be available at a special kickoff June 23 from 4:00-5:30 in the Hayden H. Jones Auditorium.

The program is open to students who have completed grades 6-12.

Teens are invited to read anything!!!!

Participants will monitor their time spent reading. In order to qualify to attend the end of program social, a total of at least 20 hours must be logged.

The best thing about SRP is that you can log ANY time spent reading! Reading the paper? Magazines? Blogging or checking out a friend’s Facebook messages? Texting? IM? You were reading! Time spent reading to a younger sibling to help them make their goals in the Summer Reading Program even counts toward your goal!

Imaginator Banner“Checking In” Young Adult Programs will be held Mondays from 4:00-5:30 pm. Each week will be a new program, with an emphasis on things that spark a reaction in our world, science, music, arts, literature, and more...

All time records must be turned in by July 21, 2014.

Prizes will be awarded for most hours read and most creative use of time spent reading to someone else! Prizes, music, crafts and fun throughout the summer! The more time you log, the more chances you have to win! Books Stack
