Fine Forgiveness
In celebration of National Library Week, the libraries of the Craven-Pamlico-Carteret Regional Libraries are offering Fine Forgiveness Week starting April 13. Return your overdue library materials through April 19 without any fines!
Forgiveness only applies to fines for items that have been returned to the library. Fines on materials that have not been returned or costs of lost materials are not excused.
Existing fines already on your account for items you returned before April 13 will be reduced by half, if you pay your fines during National Library Week.
Sorry, but this special does not apply to books borrowed through interlibrary loan.
#MyNCLibrary 5 Day Challenge
During National Library Week, April 14-18, stop by the library to fill out the daily challenge or go online (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram) and tag your entries with #MyNCLibrary. Complete all 5 challenges and enter your name into a drawing* for an Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card.
All participants will need to come to the library to sign a consent form, or print the form here. You can drop the completed form off at the library or scan it and email it to librarian(at)nbccpl.org.
Monday – To kick off the 5 day challenge, tell us what you use the library for.
Tuesday – We've all got a story to tell. Share it with us! Tell us a story about how a librarian has helped you or influenced your life.
Wednesday – Romance, mystery, fantasy, magazines, graphic novels - it's all fair game!Let us know what you're reading. Not a big reader? Tell us what technology you use at the library.
Thursday - Tell us a few of your favorite
things...about the library. Don’t have a favorite thing? Just let us
know why you like it. (paper challenge)
Selfie day! You know you want to. Have you always wanted to take a
selfie without being judged? Are you a selfie expert? Well this is
the challenge for you!(online challenge)
Friday** - It's the final day and SURPRISE, you've been gifted a library genie. Anything you want for your library is yours. What do you wish for?
**The library will be closed on Friday, April 18th in observance of Good Friday. If you are completing the paper challenges at the library, you can do the Friday challenge on Thursday.
*The prize drawing is sponsored by the North Carolina Library Association and is a statewide event.
