Description: Image showing a two-storied house near Kinston, North Carolina. Reed further describes the photograph as follows: "Old House, near Kinston Bridge.--Used as a field hospital at the battle of Kinston, Dec. 14, 1862. Under the trees to the right were buried the amputations. The front of the house is full of bullet holes."
